1) Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you access or use Jobdit via web, mobile, email alerts, APIs, or integrations. By using Jobdit, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Service.

2) What We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account details: name, email, password (hashed), role, company (optional).
  • Preferences & alerts: saved searches, filters, notification settings, email frequency.
  • Support & legal: messages, attachments, and contact details when you write to support or legal.
  • Billing (if applicable): limited billing profile; payments are processed by third-party processors (we do not store full card numbers).

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages viewed, searches, filters, clicks on outbound links to original listings, referring/exit pages, timestamps.
  • Device & log data: IP address, browser/OS, language, user agent, cookies or similar identifiers, error logs.
  • Cookies & similar tech: to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, prevent fraud/abuse, and (if enabled) for analytics.

2.3 Information from third parties

  • Aggregated listing metadata from publicly available sources and/or authorized APIs (titles, links, brief descriptors, timestamps, source labels).
  • Vendors (e.g., email delivery, analytics, payment processors) may provide limited data (delivery status, fraud signals, subscription status).

We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories (e.g., government IDs, health data) unless you voluntarily provide them in support communications (please don't).

3) How We Use Information

  • Provide the Service: search, filters, de-duplication, scoring/ranking, alerts, outbound linking, account management.
  • Improve & secure: troubleshoot, analytics, testing, monitoring, fraud/spam prevention, enforcing Terms.
  • Communicate: transactional emails (account, alerts, policy updates), service announcements, and—only if you opt-in—marketing updates (you can unsubscribe anytime).
  • Billing (if applicable): subscription management, receipts, tax compliance.
  • Legal reasons: comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights/users/suppliers.

Legal bases (EEA/UK): performance of a contract (providing Jobdit), legitimate interests (security, improvement, analytics), consent (non-essential cookies/marketing), and legal obligation (tax/compliance).

4) Sharing & Disclosure

We share information only as needed to operate Jobdit:

  • Service providers / processors: hosting/CDN, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, payments, customer support. Bound by contracts to process data on our instructions.
  • Legal & safety: to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse, or respond to lawful requests.
  • Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may transfer subject to this Policy.
  • With your direction: e.g., when you connect integrations or request data export.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share for cross-context behavioral advertising without your consent.

5) Cookies & Controls

We use cookies/local storage for sign-in, preferences, performance, and (if enabled) analytics. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking some may impact functionality. Where required, we present a consent banner for non-essential cookies. We honor applicable opt-out settings and provide in-product controls where feasible.

6) Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, including legal/accounting requirements. Typical examples:

  • Account data: retained while your account is active and a reasonable period after deletion for fraud prevention and legal obligations.
  • Logs/analytics: retained for a limited window (e.g., 90–180 days) unless extended for security investigations.
  • Billing records: retained as required by tax/compliance laws.

8) Your Rights & Choices

Global

  • Access, correction, deletion (subject to legal limits).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Opt out of marketing emails (unsubscribe link).
  • Manage cookies/analytics preferences (where offered).

Request by emailing privacy@scraplay.com from your account address. We may verify your identity.

EEA/UK (GDPR)

  • Rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection; right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

  • Right to know categories/specific pieces of personal information collected; right to delete; right to correct; right to limit use of sensitive information (not applicable here); right to opt out of sale/share (we don't sell).
  • We will not discriminate for exercising your rights.

9) International Transfers

We are U.S.-based. If you access Jobdit from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to the U.S. and other countries with different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.

10) Children's Privacy

Jobdit is not directed to children under 16 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided data to us, contact privacy@scraplay.com to request deletion.

11) Third-Party Sites & Links

Links on Jobdit lead to third-party sites we do not control. Their content and privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party practices.

12) Automated Decision-Making & Profiling

Jobdit may apply automated signals (e.g., de-duplication, quality/risk scores, ranking) to listing metadata to improve relevance. These signals do not produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. You can change alert and filter settings to control outcomes you see.

13) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will update the Effective date and, where required, provide notice (e.g., in-app or email). Your continued use of Jobdit after changes constitutes acceptance.
