Hi, we're The Browser Company 👋 and we're building a better way to use the internet. Browsers are unique in that they are one of the only pieces of software that you share with your parents as well as your kids. Which makes sense, they're our doorway to the most important things — through them we socialize with loved ones, work on our passion projects, and explore our curiosities. But on their own, they don’t actually do a whole lot, they’re kind of just there. They don’t help us organize our messy lives or make it easier to compose our ideas. We believe that the browser could do so much more — it can empower and support the amazing things we do on the internet. That’s why we’re building one: a browser that can help us grow, create, and stay curious. To accomplish this lofty task, we’re building a diverse team of people from different backgrounds and experiences. This isn’t optional, it’s crucial to our mission, as we need a wide range of perspectives to challenge our assumptions and shape our browser through a bold, creative lens. With that in mind, we especially encourage women, people of color, and others from historically marginalized groups to apply. ABOUT THE ROLE The Browser Company is looking for a highly organized Personal & Executive Assistant to support three of our senior leaders in a personal and professional capacity. You'll be the person who makes their days run smoothly by owning calendars, booking all meetings, trips and personal appointments so that our leaders can show up prepared and present. This role is about supercharging our leaders and what they do best, across work and life. Calling all those who go above and beyond by nature, who get excited about pushing even the smallest details to a high bar, and who treat hospitality as a mindset. OVERALL YOU WILL... - Own scheduling: Manage complex, shifting calendars across time zones. Arrange, book, confirm, reschedule all meetings. You keep everyone informed along the way and resolve conflicts before they become problems. - Book all travel: Plan and reserve flights, hotels, ground transport, and dining for work and personal trips. Build detailed, thoughtful itineraries. - Manage expenses: You’ll order meals (breakfast, lunch) while at work. Additionally, you’ll track receipts, submit and reconcile expense reports, and monitor spending against budgets. - Support personal life: Book personal appointments including doctors, personal care, wellness, errands and arrange family travel optimized for each family's needs. - Create moments of delight: Curate social outings and reservations, and look for ways to make ordinary logistics feel bespoke. QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of work experience, ideally in executive support, hospitality, office management, travel arranging, personal assisting, or home office support. - You are NYC based, with the ability to work a minimum of 3 days per week in our Brooklyn office. - Exceptional attention to detail. You take pride in executing the smallest tasks with thoughtfulness and craft, not just the big ones. - Clear, mature communication skills and a service-oriented mindset that builds strong relationships with any person you come across. - Calm, adaptable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting requirements and evolving constraints. You thrive in a high-trust, high-ambiguity environment: you seek feedback, but you don't need hand-holding. - You resonate with our company values COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS - Our total compensation for full-time employees includes base salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The annual base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $140,000 USD. The final offer will depend on your experience, expertise, and interview performance. Our goal is simple: if it feels like the right mutual fit, compensation shouldn’t be the thing that gets in the way. We’ve built a small, talent-dense team who cares deeply about their craft, and we pay competitively in line with current market benchmarks. - Benefits. We offer best-in-class benefits designed to support you, your family, and your life outside of work. Think big-company perks with startup-style impact, ownership, and ways of working — so you have the space and support to do the best work of your career. - Location. While we're a remote-friendly company and can hire in the US or Canada, this role is based in New York with requirements to work from our office in Williamsburg. The Browser Company is an ambitious team of close to 100 people (and growing!) who are passionate about building great products. We are a remote-first, distributed team, with the option to work from office in Brooklyn, New York. We strongly support diversity and encourage people from all backgrounds to apply. 🚙 To read more about what we value as a company, check out Notes on Roadtrips on our blog.

THE OPPORTUNITY - Provide product legal support for APAC launches and enablement across the entire Payward product suite, including xStocks, OTC options, institutional custody and execution, and cross-regional products rolling out across APAC - Act as a gatekeeper for new APAC outside counsel engagements: scope the work, estimate the cost, and sign off before matters are routed externally, so that outside counsel is used where local-law advice is genuinely required - Translate complex regulatory frameworks into pragmatic, actionable guidance for the business, favouring plain-English communication, measurable risk trade-offs and decision-ready recommendations - Use AI-assisted tools (for example for multi-jurisdiction licensing analysis, first drafts of regulatory submissions and matter tracking) to raise the speed and consistency of the team's work - Own the APAC regulatory workload under the direction of the APAC regulatory lead, including licence variations, client and broker agreement documentation, licensing structure questions and routine regulator correspondence - Take ownership of geography-specific licensing in markets such as Kazakhstan, Pakistan and the Philippines, instructing and supervising local counsel in region and in time zone, and supporting other APAC markets (for example South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia) as they arise - Support Payward Group licensing initiatives in key APAC markets such as Singapore and Hong Kong, including preparing application materials and coordinating with outside counsel WHAT YOU BRING - Qualified lawyer admitted in Singapore, Hong Kong, England and Wales, or an equivalent common law jurisdiction - 10 or more years' post-qualification experience ("PQE") in financial services regulatory law, gained at a regulated financial services institution (for example a bank, broker-dealer, exchange, derivatives dealer or crypto services provider), at a law firm supporting such clients and/or at a relevant regulator - Demonstrated ability to independently own regulatory relationships and business-as-usual regulatory workstreams, including notifications, information requests and supervisory correspondence - Strong experience with the financial regulatory landscape in a major Asian financial centre (eg, Singapore and the MAS, Hong Kong and the SFC/HKMA) - Proven ability to instruct, supervise and manage the cost of local counsel across multiple jurisdictions, including in markets where you are not admitted - Working knowledge of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing ("AML/CTF") obligations and regulatory expectations - Outstanding analytical, drafting and organisational skills, with crisp, plain-English writing - Ability to distill complex legal and regulatory issues into clear, actionable guidance for non-lawyer stakeholders - A pragmatic, commercially accountable approach to legal and regulatory risk that gives stakeholders a useful range of options and a clear recommendation - Comfort operating with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-moving, remote, multi-time-zone environment, owning a broad workload from day one NICE TO HAVES - Experience advising on virtual asset regulation in one or more APAC jurisdictions - Familiarity with the regulation of derivatives (including OTC options), equities and emerging tokenised financial instruments - Experience supporting change-of-control notifications or other regulatory aspects of corporate transactions - Experience with payments, e-money or card regulation - Working proficiency in a second APAC language - An authentic interest in crypto and digital assets, and familiarity with Payward's and competitors' products Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
