MongoDB Technical Services Engineers use their exceptional problem solving and customer service skills, along with their deep technical experience, to advise customers and to solve their complex MongoDB problems. Technical Service Engineers are experts in the entire MongoDB ecosystem - database server, drivers, cloud and infrastructure. This also includes services such as Atlas (database as a service), or Cloud Manager (which helps customers with automation, backup and monitoring of their MongoDB systems). Our engineers combine their MongoDB expertise with passion, initiative, teamwork and a great sense of humor to help our customers to be successful with MongoDB.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are interested in working out of our Dublin office under our in-office working model (3-5 days) Monday to Friday.

Due to the 24/7 nature of our support organization, certain events throughout the year will require volunteering for coverage outside one’s normal work days or work hours (i.e. regional offsites, regional holidays, etc). These are typically announced weeks in advance with a sign-up system that considers equitability.

Cool things you’ll do

You'll be working alongside our largest customers, solving their complex challenges - resolving questions on architecture, performance, recovery, security, and everything in between. You'll be an expert resource on best practices in running MongoDB at scale, whatever that scale may be. You'll be an advocate for customers' needs - interfacing with our product management and development teams on their behalf. And you'll contribute to internal projects, including software development of support tools for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics.

What you need

We consider all candidates with an eye for those who are self-taught, insatiably curious, and multi-faceted.

The ideal candidates should have strong technical experience in one (or more) of the following areas

• Systems administration
• Distributed systems
• Network Administration
• Database architecture and administration
• Application Architecture
• Data architecture and design
• Performance tuning and benchmarking
• Extra bonus points if you have experience in one or more of Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, Javascript, node.js, Go, PHP, or Perl

If you have an operations background, we prefer experience administering large-scale production environments, including hardware, operating systems (e.g. Linux, Windows), networks (including firewalls and load balancers), as well as cloud-based resources (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

It’s crucial for every candidate that they can check off all of these boxes

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Genuine desire to help people
• Uncontrollable urge to investigate and solve problems, with advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to think on your feet, remain calm under pressure and solve problems in real-time
• Desire and ability to rapidly learn a wide variety of new technical skills
• Strong teamwork: willingness and ability to get help from team members when required, and the good judgment to know when to seek help

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT. Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t. Alan exists to end the wait. Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way. So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience. We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR. Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond. ⭐️ THE ENTERPRISE ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE JOB We’re expanding our Sales team in France and are looking for a ‘full-stack’ Enterprise Sales to engage with prospects and turn them into happy Alan customers. You will join a team that mostly focuses on very large companies from Tech, Syntec, HCR, and B2B services, interacting with everyone from HR executives to CEOs. Why is this segment interesting? - Diverse workforce: Mix of 60% cadres / 40% non-cadres, often with subsidiaries or multi-site operations, ranging from highly tech-savvy employees to those requiring digital adoption support. - Critical challenges: Multi-stakeholder decision processes involving HRD, CFO, CEO, Payroll, CSE, Legal, Purchasing, Comp & Ben, Accounting, Brokers (creating multiple potential blockers), long sales cycles (multi-year conversations), RFP processes requiring deep audits and product customization, and strong influence from unions/CSE who can co-manage health insurance topics; - Company profiles: Flagship companies (widely known brands), groups with standalone entities or subsidiaries, often with focus on employee wellbeing (QVT programs, Great Place to Work), modern company culture, and strategic communication about digitization or employer brand attractiveness; - HR priorities: Increasing productivity, obtaining fair and competitive pricing, contributing to employee well-being through customized health plans, simplifying HR processes with digital platforms, and managing change management concerns when implementing new health insurance (biggest fear for large companies) - Critical business characteristics: This segment requires breadth & depth of expertise to navigate complex organizations, account-based strategies with Key Account Management approach, early engagement in company roadmaps, face-to-face meetings, co-creation of insurance and digital products (tailored offers considering past results, specific regimes, demographics, payroll system integration), and ability to work through RFPs and with brokers. Sales cycles are volatile with high stakes: 1 deal = 50% of annual target for Very Large AEs. Our approach for Very Large companies positions Alan as a strategic partner in health rather than just an insurance provider, emphasizing our digital platform for fluid UX, customized health plans at fair pricing, and health/well-being services. Success requires leveraging high-level connections, building professional materials, and potentially creating exclusive "Health Clubs" or labels for early adopters. What will you do with us? You’ll own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing. In our Enterprise Sales team, you will deal with companies with more than 3,000 employees, including all CAC40 companies. At Alan, Account Executives drive deals and close strategic opportunities with prospects. We sometimes handle some customer relationships to ensure the best possible onboarding. You’ll educate prospects, provide inspiring product demos, and onboard key stakeholders, making the transition from prospect to customer seamless. We expect you to understand and apply the Alan Smart & Soft selling method This method ensures the prospect experience is an integral part of the overall Alan customer experience—making it pleasant and delightful for everyone. We expect you to be instructive to prospects (Smart), as well as to define the best personalized high-touch strategy that suits best each prospect (Soft). You’ll also help us grow and improve as a company, challenging us to enhance our product(s), methods, and strategy, and getting involved in initiatives to expand our customer base. Take a look at this testimonial from Emilie Quellec and watch Julien Plessis both part of the Enterprise Sales team 👀 ⭐ IS IT YOU WE’RE LOOKING FOR? You’ll be a great fit for the Enterprise team at Alan if you: - Have at least 8 years of experience managing the whole Enterprise Sales cycle, from prospecting to closing. - Have full working proficiency in French (C2 and above) and an advanced level in English. - Are highly organized with exceptional follow-up skills; - Have empathy and are passionate about understanding and solving prospects' problems; - Can influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building; - Have a deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models; - Have a great attitude and ability to collaborate in a small team; - Are eager to learn fast and make an impact from day 1; - Are based in (or willing to relocate to) Paris or Bordeaux, and ok to travel to Paris regularly. For this opportunity, we are aiming to hire within the D-F level range If you're still wondering whether this could be the best move for you, take a look at this article from Lucie Leflour, our Sales Lead in France. EVERYTHING ELSE IS A PLUS. WE CARE ABOUT HAVING A DIVERSITY OF EXPERIENCES, PROFILES AND BACKGROUNDS IN OUR TEAM. 🙌 PERKS & BENEFITS At Alan, we believe that being in good health is a basic need, and it starts with our employees. This is why Alaners are provided with a stimulating environment and perks ensuring they are happy, efficient and spend only high-quality time with co-workers. Therefore, we offer: - Fair rewards. Generous equity packages complement your base salary, for permanent contracts only. - Flexible office with hybrid setup. Amazing office space at our Paris HQ or sponsored co-working hubs in Bordeaux. - All the tools you need. Every Alaner is paired with a dedicated coach from day one, who helps maximize their impact, nurture engagement, and navigate Alan's values to develop their full potential. Learn more about our coaching culture - Parental leave. Extended parental leave for all new parents, for permanent contracts only. IMPORTANT NOTE: WE HIRE PEOPLE, NOT ROLES. If you're excited about this opportunity but don't check every box, we'd love to hear from you. Everyone, no matter how underrepresented, should feel free to apply as it can only bring learnings or success. If you identify yourself as a woman: Did you know that research shows women often apply only when meeting 100% of requirements? Remember, this is just a guide, not a checklist. We'll be thrilled to receive your application! 🔖 Check out our About Alan and Career pages, as well as our Medium blog / and Glassdoor page for more info.

Toast creates technology to help restaurants and local businesses succeed in a digital world, helping business owners operate, increase sales, engage customers, and keep employees happy. The Mid-Market Sales Executive is responsible for sales and revenue growth in their assigned, targeted accounts. This individual is responsible for building a sales pipeline, managing a sales process for their mid-market brands/group with 40 to 500 units.

This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

A day in the life (Responsibilities)

• Lead efforts to grow Toast market share in the multi-unit restaurant industry through establishment and cultivation of ongoing relationships at the C-Suite level through research, cold-calling and networking to develop a qualified pipeline of prospects.
• Create demand by educating prospects on the Toast value proposition of products and solutions through demonstrations and presentations communicating a compelling purchase rationale.
• Cultivate relationships with business partner counterparts who sell and support complementary applications and services to point of sale systems serving the restaurant industry
• Plan, direct and coordinate sales support activities, including management of the sales pipeline through Toast sales tools (Salesforce)
• Involved in all phases of the sales lifecycle including: identifying and developing leads; meeting with clients; developing value propositions; financial deal structuring; contract negotiation and closing
• Understand the competitive landscape (strengths, weaknesses, benefits) and determine how to position Toast to win
• Collaborate with Account Service and Implementation Teams to ensure that expectations set during the sales process are met in delivery
• Own your own leverage. Continuously identify the repetitive parts of the role-research, prep, notes, follow-up, list building and systematically get them off your plate, so the majority of your week is spent in live conversation with operators.
• Work evidence, not alphabetical order. Prioritize accounts based on observable change in the operator's business: expansion, ownership change, hiring patterns, guest feedback trends, visible technology, and disqualify unworkable accounts quickly so your capacity concentrates where it can actually close.
• Treat your book as an asset you maintain. Keep account and contact records accurate, current, and deduplicated, understanding that routing, scoring, and every AI-assisted workflow is only as good as the data underneath it.
• Untangle who really decides. Resolve complex ownership structures, franchise groups, multiple legal entities, operators running several concepts under different names to identify and reach the actual economic decision maker rather than whoever answers the phone.
• Arrive already informed, and earn trust in a low-trust market. Focus on the operator's specific situation rather than a product pitch, and recognize that many operators have been burned by a previous vendor; credibility, not feature comparisons, is often what wins the deal.
• Close the loop on what's broken. Flag bad data, wrong contacts, and signals that didn't hold up, so the system your whole team relies on improves rather than quietly eroding.

What you'll need to thrive (Requirements)

• A combination of SaaS, Digital Marketing and Restaurant Industry Technology experience is required
• 5+ years of relevant successful technology or professional services sales experience
• Previous success in selling/leading sales efforts in environments with 6 to 12 month sales cycles
• Proven sales skills in complex deal development, financial structuring, negotiations, and closing with both new and existing clients
• Experience in MEDDPICC Sales Qualification preferred
• Travel 30% or more
• Comfortable with process-driven sales, reporting, and tracking
• Strong written and presentation-based communication skills are required
• You've built something to make yourself faster. You can walk us through a repeatable process, template or workflow you personally created to eliminate busywork from your own week, and what it gave you back.
• Demonstrated learning velocity. You can point to a capability you taught yourself in the last six months without being asked to, and explain how you now use it.
• You can articulate a problem precisely. Comfort framing a messy commercial question clearly and specifically enough that a tool, a teammate or a supporting function can actually act on it.
• You manage a territory like a portfolio. Comfort making deliberate coverage decisions across a large account base rather than defaulting to whichever deal is loudest this week.
• Genuine curiosity about how restaurants actually operate — margins, labour, throughput, the difference between a 3-location operator and a 30-location one — because that is what earns a second conversation. Comfort working in build mode, where territory definition, process and tooling are actively being shaped and you are expected to have an opinion on them.

How Toast Uses AI in its Hiring Process

All hiring decisions are made by people. We ask that you complete interviews and assessments on your own, without real-time AI tools, recording, or transcription bots, unless we tell you otherwise in advance.
