I run a UK based SaaS startup, and a recent conversation with another founder made me rethink how we approach hiring from India in the early stages.
They were building their first remote team and found a strong developer in India. To move quickly, they brought the person on as a contractor. It made sense at the time since there was no need to set up a local entity and everything moved fast.
Initially, everything worked well. The developer was fully involved in the product, joined regular team discussions, and contributed like any core team member.
The issue only came up later when they started preparing for fundraising. During legal review, questions came up around how the team was structured. Even though the developer was labeled as a contractor, their day to day work looked very similar to a full time employee.
That raised concerns around potential misclassification and possible liabilities like taxes or benefits if reviewed more closely.
What stood out to me was how easy it is to overlook this while focusing on building product and growth.

• Bachelier ou Master en IT, ou équivalent par expérience.
• Vous bénéficiez d'une première expérience en tant qu'architecte solution ou d'une expérience solide (minimum 5 ans) en tant qu’analyste technico-fonctionnel senior.
• Bonnes capacités d'analyse, orientation solutions, rigueur et esprit structuré.
• Impliqué(e), innovant(e) et proactif(ve).
• Bonne communication, avec une capacité de vulgarisation.
• Esprit d'équipe et orientation collaboration.
• Bonne capacité dans l’animation d’ateliers.
• La connaissance (première expérience) dans le secteur de l’assurance et/ou de la finance est un plus pour le poste.
• Bonne capacité en gestion de conflits et alignement des parties prenantes.
• Parfaite maîtrise du français et de l’anglais. (NL est un atout).

Connaissances techniques souhaitées

• Expérience dans le design d’architectures complexes et variées.
• Connaissance en modélisation Archimate (Une certification est un atout) & UML.
• Bonne connaissance en intégration (API management, ESB, event-driven, patterns...).
• Bonne connaissance dans le traitement des exigences non fonctionnelles classiques (SLA, conformité, sécurité, résilience, GDPR &).
• Connaissance générale cloud / Expérience cloud AWS (atout).
• Connaissance Technologie Mainframe (atout).
• Connaissance de TOGAF (Atout)
