This role needs to be great with people and strongly focused on learning and executing. Ideally you have been the sole IT person at a startup before and are excited to be an early member of the team here at Scale. You focus on patterns and don't like doing the same thing twice. Your goal in this position is making people happy while creating simple and repeatable solutions for all!

You will:

• Create accounts and assign role-based access across our identity and SaaS stack (Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira/Confluence, Zoom, Microsoft Entra ID/M365).
• Enroll and configure devices (Mac and Windows) in MDM with required security baselines before handoff.

• Recover, wipe, and re-inventory hardware; coordinate remote returns for distributed employees on the last day.
• Maintain auditable onboarding/offboarding checklists to support security and compliance reviews (e.g., SOC 2 access controls).

Ticket Queue & Support

• Own the day-to-day IT ticket queue in Jira Service Management: triage, prioritize, and resolve or dispatch every incoming request.
• Meet first-response and resolution SLAs; keep requesters informed and tickets updated until closure.
• Escalate appropriately with clear context and reproduction steps.
• Analyze ticket trends to find recurring issues, then eliminate them through documentation, self-service, or automation.
• Build and maintain knowledge base articles for both end users and the IT team.

General

• Provide help desk support to all Scale employees across hardware, software, AV, and access issues.
• Maintain and support office technology (printers, Zoom Rooms, room schedulers, and more).
• Own IT asset management with accurate, actionable records of all equipment through its lifecycle.
• Administer and integrate cloud services (Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID/M365, Slack, Okta, Jira, Confluence, Zoom, and more).
• Promote IT best practices and constantly ask: "How can I make things better?"
• Be in-office 100% of the time.

Ideally you'll have:

• 3+ years of corporate IT experience, including hands-on onboarding/offboarding ownership at scale.
• Deep understanding of computer fundamentals and troubleshooting: hardware and software (Mac, Windows) and cloud technologies (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID/M365).
• Experience running a ticket queue in Jira Service Management or a similar ITSM tool, with a track record of meeting SLAs.
• Familiarity with identity/access management (Okta SSO, SCIM provisioning) and MDM for Mac and Windows fleets.
• A positive attitude and excitement for building new processes and policies for a rapidly growing organization.
• Experience supporting remote teams and multiple global offices using tools like Slack and Zoom.
• A security- and compliance-focused mindset.

Our stack

Okta (identity/SSO), Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs), Slack, Jira & Jira Service Management, Confluence, Zoom, Microsoft Entra ID/M365, Chrome, plus MDM for Mac and Windows fleets.

BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system. Before you apply, we encourage you to explore our culture page to understand what drives us and how we work. THE TEAM Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients. We’re building the next stage of Kraken Consumer growth. Paid has to find new places to win: the regional channels people actually use, the messages that make them care, and the journeys that turn a click into a valuable customer. We’re doing it across every EU country and expansion markets in LATAM and APAC, with payback as the guardrail. This is a builder job. You’ll launch dozens of channel tests each month, make fast calls on what’s working, and take the winners from first test to serious scale. Expect most ads to miss—possibly 80–90%. The edge is choosing the right channels and campaign types to test, learning from each one, and scaling the few that work. You’ll own those channels alongside our other performance marketing managers. THE OPPORTUNITY - Prioritize the next channels and campaigns to test. Size the upside by market, find the regional platforms and media partners people actually use, then place the biggest bets where customer fit and payback potential are strongest - Get tests live with the right team around you. Work shoulder to shoulder with creative strategists, the creative team, and MarTech on the message, format, landing page, tracking, and campaign setup. Own partner conversations, budgets, QA, and the first performance read - Make each market feel local. Learn the audience, language, media habits, and rules in each country. Build for that market, then carry what works to the next one - Call the result honestly. Look beyond platform ROAS to funded customers, cohort quality, CAC, incrementality, and payback. Change or stop weak tests quickly; give strong ones room to grow - Own the winners. When a test clicks, build it into a real channel: develop new creative and campaign types with Creative, strengthen measurement with MarTech, and grow spend as customer value and payback hold - Collaborate with paid team members to be best in class growth scale and efficiency. Share tests and learnings openly, help other channel owners, and find ways to make a win in one market work elsewhere - Follow the customer past the click. Work with Creative, Product, Data, and MarTech to fix tracking and improve landing pages, signup, funding, and first use WHAT YOU BRING - You’ve built a paid channel from zero and made it meaningful. You can tell us what you set up, what failed, and the call that changed the result - You can run dozens of tests a month without turning them into a blur. You know which channels and campaigns matter most and give each test a hypothesis, budget, measurement plan, and next decision - You know how to find local growth opportunities across countries. You don’t assume that the playbook from one market will work in another - You’re at home in CAC, attribution, incrementality, cohort quality, LTV, and payback. You can work through messy data with an analyst and still make a clear call - You know how paid campaigns actually work on web and app: audiences, creative, conversion tracking, optimization, and the path to a funded customer - You know how to turn a promising channel strategy into campaigns with creative strategists, the creative team, and MarTech. You get into the message, format, landing page, and tracking when that’s where the problem is - You’re competitive about outcomes and generous with teammates. You challenge ideas, change your mind when the evidence changes, and share what you learn NICE TO HAVES - Crypto experience is a plus. We care more about strong judgment, hands-on craft, and proof you can find and scale profitable growth Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. OUR COMMITMENT Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto. We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision. As an equal opportunity employer, we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, citizenship, religion, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws. Every day, tens of millions of people come to Roblox to explore, create, play, learn, and connect with friends in 3D immersive digital experiences– all created by our global community of developers and creators.

At Roblox, we’re building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring any experience that they can imagine to life. Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together, from anywhere in the world, and on any device. We’re on a mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility, and looking for amazing talent to help us get there.

A career at Roblox means you’ll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone.

ML Platform powers hundreds of use cases and billions of inferences per day across Discovery, Safety, Economy, and Creation. We build the primitives that let teams train, evaluate, deploy, and operate models quickly and safely—so a new ML idea can reach production in weeks or less. We’re looking for a Principal Platform Engineer who treats platform as a product: someone who can turn complex ML/AI infrastructure into clear, durable APIs, SDKs and easy-to-use CLIs/UIs that our internal developers love.

This role blends product thinking, developer experience, backend engineering, and infrastructure at scale. Hands‑on ML experience is a plus; a track record of building internal platforms that developers love is a must.

You Are

• Have 7+ years of professional experience and have a wealth of system design experience upon which to draw to build a scalable, reliable ML platform for all of Roblox.
• A Code Machine; you love not only to design and communicate ideas but also to actually ship product. You obsess about user feedback, and constantly drive towards getting platform features in customers hands.
• Proficient in API design and developer experience—gRPC/REST APIs, SDKs, CLIs, and simple UIs that developers love to use.
• Good to have - experience with the end‑to‑end ML model lifecycle such as model serving, training, model CI/CD, and GPU resources management, and have built ML platform features that are delightful to use.
• You're passionate about infrastructure‑as‑code and automating painful manual processes. You push for platform solutions that don’t leave on-call teams carrying the burden of design choices.
• Passionate about supporting ML engineers to meet and understand their needs, and translating them into clean, durable platform abstractions.
• A clear communicator who excels at both written and verbal communication across differing levels of technical detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a similar technical field.

You Will

• Own platform as a product and set direction end to end: Define requirements, write RFDs, and ship APIs, SDKs, CLIs, and UIs that make ML@Roblox easy to adopt.
• Bootstrap and maintain core ML Platform components: Serving Layer, Model Registry, Pipeline Orchestrator, and Training/Inference control planes.
• Set technical strategy and oversee development of high scale and reliable infrastructure systems, with clear SLOs for latency, availability, and cost.
• Design great developer experiences with paved‑road templates, golden paths, opinionated defaults, and clear docs to reduce time‑to‑first‑production.
• Instrument the platform to measure adoption, friction, reliability, and cost; use data to prioritize roadmap and validate outcomes.
• Partner across organizations (ML Engineering, Data Science, Infra/SRE, Security, Finance) to optimize performance, safety, and spend, especially for GPU‑intensive training and high‑QPS inference.
• Propose and implement new platform tooling to improve time to production for MLEs across the full ML lifecycle.
• Stay abreast of industry trends in machine learning and infrastructure to ensure the adoption of leading‑edge technologies and practices.
• Mentor junior and senior engineers, lead design reviews, and drive cross‑team architectural decisions that last.
