ABOUT RAMP Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books. The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving. We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome. The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same. If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it. ABOUT THE ROLE In this role, you will be a front-line manager to a group of Account Managers who are responsible for hunting, pitching, and expanding the existing customer base at Ramp. You'll lead a group of 6-8 Account Managers, each carrying a book of 60-70 Enterprise customers with real latitude over how they grow it. This is a build role, not a maintain role: the playbooks, coaching systems, and performance bar you set are the ones this team runs on next year. Run daily 1:1s, dissect call feedback, lead enablement sessions, and build career paths for every rep on your team. - Turn what works into a system. Continuously refine team processes and tooling to improve output and efficiency as the segment scales. - Represent Account Management cross-functionally, partnering with Sales, CX, CSM, Risk, and Product to remove blockers and drive outcomes. WHAT YOU NEED - Minimum 5 years of quota-carrying sales or account management experience as an individual contributor, with a proven, consistent track record of exceeding goals (new business or cross-sell/upsell experience mandatory) - Minimum 5 years building and leading account management or sales teams, with a track record of exceeding goal (new business or cross-sell/upsell experience mandatory) - Prior success in fast-paced, results-oriented GTM environments, ideally at SaaS or AI companies - A genuine passion for hiring, with a thoughtful approach to talent development - Ability to articulate contractual, technical, and financial value to customers, including C-Suite and executive leaders - Strong track record negotiating, structuring, and executing complex agreements - Proficiency with data analytics tools (Salesforce, Looker, Excel) and a bias toward using data to drive decisions - Strong collaboration and influencing skills, backed by excellent communication and presentation ability. - High agency and adaptability - no two days are the same, and the only constant is change - A desire and willingness to jump headfirst into complex, challenging problems for the good of the business. Great to Haves - Experience at a high-growth, top SaaS/AI startup - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO ALL FULL-TIME RAMP EMPLOYEES (GLOBAL) - Flexible PTO - Centralized home-office equipment ordering - Health and wellness stipend - Budget for intra-office travel - Weekly coffee stipend UNITED STATES - 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you, with partial coverage for dependents - One Medical annual membership - 401(k), including employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp - Fertility HRA (up to $10,000 per year) - Parental leave: up to 16 weeks (birthing + bonding) or 8 weeks (bonding only) at 100% pay - Pet insurance - In-office perks: lunch, snacks, drinks, and more - Relocation expense coverage to NYC or SF (if needed) CANADA - Group medical, dental, and vision coverage through Sun Life - Life, AD&D, and disability coverage - Fertility drug coverage (up to $4,000 lifetime) - Group Retirement Plan with employer match (RRSP + DPSP) - Parental leave: up to 16 weeks (birthing + bonding) or 8 weeks (bonding only) at 100% pay, with additional time available at reduced pay - Employee Assistance Program and virtual care through Lumino Health UNITED KINGDOM - Private medical insurance through Freedom Elite - Virtual GP and at-home care via eMed x Livi - Workplace pension through Penfold, with salary sacrifice option - Parental leave: up to 16 weeks (birthing + bonding) or 8 weeks (bonding only) at 100% pay with additional time available at reduced pay REFERRAL INSTRUCTIONS If you are being referred for the role, please contact that person to apply on your behalf. About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Solution Architect focused on Generative AI to support our EMEA Emerging Digital Natives and Startups business unit — one of the fastest-moving, most technically ambitious patches in EMEA. Our customers are digital-native and cloud-native companies who build on the frontier: they adopt GenAI early, scale fast, and expect their technical partners to be as sharp as their own engineers.

You will be the go-to expert our Account Teams and customers turn to when a GenAI or LLM use case needs to move from an ambitious idea to a production-grade reality across our high-growth accounts.

This is a highly technical, customer-facing individual contributor role for someone who lives at the frontier of applied GenAI. You will shape architectures, prove out the hard problems, challenge and influence customer roadmaps, and raise the GenAI capability of the entire EMEA Emerging DNB field organisation.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the deep technical authority on Generative AI, LLMs, and applied machine learning for the EMEA Emerging DNB business unit, supporting the most strategic and complex customer engagements across our digital-native and born-in-the-cloud accounts.
• Partner with our EMEA Emerging DNB Solutions Architects, Solutions Engineers, and Account teams to scope, design, and de-risk GenAI use cases — from retrieval-augmented generation and agentic systems to fine-tuning and evaluation.
• Build hands-on proofs of concept and reference implementations that operationalise large-scale LLM and deep learning workloads on Databricks (Mosaic AI, MLflow, Model Serving, Vector Search, Unity Catalog governance), tuned to the fast iteration cycles Emerging DNB customers expect.
• Lead fine-tuning and model-customisation engagements on open LLMs (e.g., Llama-family models), including judge-based and label-efficient evaluation approaches for domains where quality and safety are paramount.
• Act as a bridge to Product and Engineering — channel field and customer feedback into the roadmap and represent the roadmap back to the field.
• Enable and mentor the broader EMEA Emerging DNB Field Engineering team through workshops, reference architectures, and internal enablement, multiplying GenAI expertise across our ~70-person SA/SE organisation.
• Represent Databricks externally as a technical thought leader — conference talks (e.g., Data + AI Summit), blogs, and customer executive briefings.

What We're Looking For

• Strong understanding of the LLM landscape, including leading proprietary and open-source models and providers, with the ability to differentiate their capabilities, trade-offs, and suitability for different use cases, and to articulate a clear, informed point of view (POV) to customers.
• Deep expertise in the modern GenAI stack: LLM application patterns (RAG, agents, tool use), fine-tuning and model customization, prompt and evaluation engineering, and LLM guardrails/safety.
• Strong foundations in machine learning and deep learning, including distributed training, GPU workloads, and the full MLOps lifecycle (tracking, registry, serving, monitoring).
• Proficiency in Python and the ML ecosystem (PyTorch/Transformers, MLflow, Spark), and comfort building production-quality reference implementations.
• Experience with the Databricks platform — or the ability to ramp on it quickly — including Mosaic AI, Model Serving, Vector Search, and Unity Catalog. Cloud experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Excellent communication and consultative skills: able to earn the trust of both hands-on engineers and senior technical executives, and to explain complex GenAI trade-offs clearly.
• A track record of technical leadership and mentorship — someone who elevates the people around them.
• Comfort operating at the pace of digital-native and high-growth customers, where speed, iteration, and technical credibility win the deal.
• Based in the United Kingdom and able to work across EMEA time zones, with willingness to travel to customer sites within the region as needed.
• Background helping digital-native customers build data and ML solutions (e.g., prior experience at a data/ML platform or consulting vendor) is a strong plus.

Nice to Have

• Public technical presence: conference speaking, published talks, blogs, or open-source contributions in the ML/GenAI space.
• Domain depth in a regulated or high-stakes industry (healthcare/life sciences, financial services) where model quality, evaluation, and safety are critical.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmap.

Why This Role

You will work on the hardest and most exciting GenAI problems our EMEA Emerging DNB customers have — companies building the future in real time — with the platform and the people to actually solve them, not just advise. You'll shape how one of EMEA's highest-growth business units adopts Generative AI, influence the direction of the product, and build a public profile as a recognised expert in the field. This is the role for a builder and a teacher, who wants their expertise to have outsized impact.

HEALTH CAN’T WAIT. Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t. Alan exists to end the wait. Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way. So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience. BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OPEN FINANCE Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system. Before you apply, we encourage you to explore our culture page to understand what drives us and how we work. THE TEAM Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions across the globe. It offers spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services, with products built for both individual investors and institutional clients. Kraken’s VIP team supports the firm’s highest-value private clients: high-net-worth individuals who expect a premium, secure, and deeply tailored experience. We ensure Kraken remains the exchange of choice for VIPs through white-glove relationship management, personalized trading enablement, and high-impact benefits. We are looking for a Head of VIP, Asia to lead and grow Kraken’s VIP presence across the region. This is a player-coach role: you will build and lead a small, high-performing team while personally owning strategic client relationships, originating new business, and shaping the regional growth playbook. You will set the standard for how Kraken serves, retains, and grows its most valuable private clients in Asia. You will be equally comfortable in a senior client meeting, building an introducer network, coaching a relationship manager, hosting a VIP event, and partnering internally to remove the product or operational barriers that cost us high-value business. Kraken’s VIP program is unique, and we intend to keep it that way. We don’t copy what other exchanges and desks do. You’ll take what makes our program different and adapt it to how Asia’s VIP clients actually trade, network, and build trust. That means testing new ideas, learning fast, dropping what doesn’t work, and scaling what does. If you’re bold, comfortable with ambiguity, and humble enough to fail fast and move on, this is your seat. THE OPPORTUNITY - Lead, coach, and develop VIP relationship managers in Asia; establish clear standards for client coverage, pipeline management, service quality, and commercial performance. - Build the operating model for VIP growth across Asia, including territory coverage, account segmentation, referral strategy, events, and performance reporting. - Own regional AOP growth, net deposits, client assets, trading volume, retention, and revenue performance. - Build a repeatable pipeline of qualified high-value clients through direct outreach, referrals, introducers, family offices, proprietary trading firms, OTC desks, miners, project treasuries, and high-volume traders. - Represent the voice of Asia’s VIP client base internally: identify competitive threats, regional market dynamics, product gaps, and opportunities that influence where private-client capital trades. PERSONALLY OWN STRATEGIC CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS - Own and grow Kraken's most strategically important private client relationships across Asia, bringing our full VIP offering - ranging from trading and asset management to other services - to market locally, within Kraken's compliance and risk framework. - Serve as the senior relationship owner for Kraken’s largest and most strategically important private clients across Asia. - Bring Kraken’s VIP and private-client offering to market locally, including spot, margin, futures, OTC execution, earn and yield opportunities, lending, and tailored benefits. - Build trusted, durable relationships while ensuring every client interaction and commercial initiative operates within Kraken’s licensing, compliance, and risk framework. BUILD REGIONAL PRESENCE AND PARTNERSHIPS - Develop Kraken’s presence in Asia’s VIP trading and investor communities, including private trading groups, investor clubs, KOL and trader networks, and closed-door investor circles. - Design and lead high-quality regional programming, including VIP dinners, trader meetups, conference-adjacent events, and partner activations, in collaboration with Marketing and Regional teams. - Build and manage introducer and referral partnerships that create a durable source of qualified VIP opportunities. - Partner with Product, Marketing, Compliance, Banking, Client Service, and Operations to launch regional growth initiatives and improve the client experience. WHAT YOU BRING - 7+ years of experience in VIP relationship management, private banking, brokerage, private-client sales, account management, or business development, including meaningful experience in crypto or digital assets. - Demonstrated people leadership experience, with the judgment and practical coaching ability to lead a small team while remaining hands-on with strategic clients and revenue opportunities. - A strong personal network among Asia’s crypto HNWIs, traders, family offices, OTC desks, funds, or trading communities. Experience across Greater China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, or Singapore is especially valuable. - A proven record of personally originating and converting new business, not solely servicing an existing client book. - Deep knowledge of crypto market structure and trading solutions, including spot, margin, futures, OTC, lending, tokenized equities, and yield/earn products. - Strong commercial judgment and comfort managing KPIs including assets on platform, net deposits, revenue, trading volume, retention, pipeline conversion, and client portfolio growth. - Native or near-native Mandarin and fluent English. - Comfort operating across multiple regulated Asian jurisdictions, with sound judgment on when to engage Compliance and Risk partners early. - Willingness to travel up to 30% across the region for strategic client meetings, events, and conferences. Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. OUR COMMITMENT Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto. We may ask candidates to complete job-related skills or work-style assessments as part of our hiring process. These assessments evaluate competencies relevant to the role and are applied consistently across candidates for similar positions. Results are considered alongside experience and interviews, and are not the sole basis for any employment decision. As an equal opportunity employer, we don't tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind, whether based on race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, citizenship, religion, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.
