I'm hiring a Senior Research Infrastructure Engineer to help secure the systems behind Baskerville, the UK’s new £18M National (High Performance) AI/GPU Compute Resource, being built at the University of Birmingham, UK, supporting cutting-edge and crucial science.

Built a hiring marketplace from scratch. $100k in revenue in 8 months, $500k GMV. By most startup metrics, that's a win.
But it doesn't feel scalable.
The core problem: hiring is cyclical. Companies freeze headcount, unfreeze, freeze again. You spend months building pipeline and then Q1 budget cuts wipe your demand side overnight. We've been riding those waves for a while now and it's exhausting.
So we started experimenting on the side. Built a GTM AI agent - basically an agent that handles go-to-market busy work. Sales outreach, pipeline tracking, CRM logging, that kind of thing. Early signal is way better. Easier to close, less churn risk, and the demand doesn't disappear when someone's CFO gets nervous about headcount.
Now I'm at a fork.
Option 1: Hard pivot. Take the team, the learnings, and the brand equity and go all in on the AI agent. Kill the marketplace.
Option 2: Run both under different brands. Marketplace keeps revenue coming in, agent gets built out separately.
Option 3: Fresh brand entirely. Start clean, new identity, let the marketplace wind down on its own.
