The recent thread about signal-based outbound was great, but it highlighted a massive problem in 2026 GTM: Hiring and funding are lagging indicators. By the time a job post hits LinkedIn, every SDR in the ecosystem has already hit that prospect's inbox with an AI-generated summary of their bio. It’s noise.
I’ve been experimenting with a different approach: Execution Signals. Instead of looking at who they are hiring, look at what’s currently being deployed in their tech stack & browser traces.

The Strategy

I started running a daily headless browser trace across my target account list. I stopped looking for "Head of Growth" and started looking for Technical Drift. Here are the 3 signals that actually get a 30% reply rate right now:

1. Observability Blind Spots: I’m seeing a massive spike in sites where Sentry or Datadog ingest is returning 429 Rate Limits. This is the ultimate "In." It means the team is blind to new production bugs because they’ve exceeded their error budget.
2. The "Third-Party" Tax: Monitoring when a prospect adds a new vendor (like a TikTok pixel or a new Auth provider) that immediately starts returning 401s or adding 2s of latency. That 24-hour window after a "bad" deployment is the highest intent you’ll ever find.
3. Hydration & Bundle Bloat: Tracking when a marketing push accidentally sends a 3MB+ JavaScript chunk to the client. For a VP of Engineering, that’s not just "technical debt"—it’s a conversion killer they likely don't see in their high-level dashboards.
4. High Latency Checkout pages: A 1s delay is a 7% loss in conversion. 3s is 20%. Would your client use your product if it improves their conversion?

The Daily Drift Report

The key isn't a one-time crawl; it’s the evolution. I’ve automated this into a daily report that diffs the technical state of my target list.

• Yesterday: The site was clean.
• Today: Their auth-token API is failing in anonymous contexts.

Now, when I reach out, I’m not "checking in." I’m providing a diagnostic favor. It moves the conversation from "SDR vs. Prospect" to "Consultant vs. Peer."
